Delivery for Essential Items

Grocery Delivery Volunteer

Delivery for Essential Items

In partnership with the Weld County Area Agency on Aging, Weld Recovers (United Way and Weld Community Foundation), King Soopers, Walmart, and Weld Food Bank, 60+ Ride now delivers (contact-free) groceries and prescriptions to help safeguard everyone’s health during the COVID-19 outbreak.

How does it work?

Please call 970-702-6413 for grocery or essentials delivery. Please leave a message if no one is available. After the 60+ Ride staff member places your order, they will give you the day/time window to expect delivery as chosen from the online grocery program. Delivery is typically 1 to 5 days out, so please plan ahead!
Your volunteer delivery driver will call you shortly before placing the groceries near your front door. To minimize contact, please remain in your home until the volunteer is back in his/her car. Please wave to your volunteer to thank them, as they are doing this out of the goodness of their hearts and wallets!

How do I volunteer?

Please call 970-573-5818 if you want to volunteer to deliver groceries in your area. Background checks are completed on all volunteers, but they will not need to handle payment.

Volunteers will stay in their cars except to put groceries by clients’ doors, and clients wait inside their homes. Volunteers should plan for deliveries to take 2-3 hours, though times may vary.

COVID protocols are in place to protect both volunteers and clients.
